Merseyside is spoilt for choice this November as multiple bonfire night events and firework displays are taking place across the region.

The public is once again in for a treat with the River of Light festival, which you can enjoy from both Liverpool and the Wirral.

In addition to this, there are also displays set for Halton and St Helens. Here’s our guide to the unmissable key events planned for 2019.

Liverpool and New Brighton:

FIREWORK DISPLAY LIVERPOOL

The River of Light festival returns this year and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Expect a nine-day extravaganza, starting on the 1st November, which will see the waterfront transform into a spectacle of light, colour and music.

Large scale art commissions from artists all over the world, all sharing the theme of light and all completely free to the public.

Leading pyrotechnic company, Titanium Fireworks, are staging two enormous firework displays simultaneously on Sunday 3rd November. One is to take place in Liverpool and the other in New Brighton. The soundtrack for the event features musicians who have performed in the city over the past 12 months.

St Helens:

Fireworks

Spark in the Park is in Sherdley Park at 7:30pm on the 5th November this year. Visitors can expect an impressive firework display with a constellation theme, and soundtrack of popular music to have a little jig to.

The event is completely free to attend, however, don’t forget to bring some pocket money for the funfair attractions and food and drink.

Halton:

Fireworks display

As with the other events in Merseyside, Runcorn is hosting its own free firework event for Bonfire Night 2019.

The display will take place on Mersey road on 5th November, with music starting at 6:30pm and fireworks at 7:30pm.

The soundtrack this year will be set to the theme of superhero’s which we expect to be a real crowdpleaser for your little ones.
