19 Duke Street Boutique Hotel Launch, Liverpool

2 Min Read

Liverpool-based hospitality operator Sefton Collection has announced the opening of its latest boutique hotel, 19 Duke Street, located in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Indeed, the launch adds to the city’s thriving hospitality scene.

Inside the 19 Duke Street Hotel

The 26-bedroom property occupies the former home of Lock and Key. Notably, it was previously recognised in The Sunday Times “100 Top British Hotels.” It sits within a Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse. As a result, the hotel combines period character with contemporary comfort. This followed an investment of more than £100,000 to enhance the building’s original features.

Each room at 19 Duke Street has been upgraded to include Nespresso coffee machines, luxury toiletries and enhanced guest amenities. Moreover, guests can enjoy a 24-hour reception with concierge services, daily housekeeping, free Wi-Fi and room service.

Location and Rates

Midweek introductory opening rates start from £79 per room. Consequently, the hotel is a high-quality yet accessible offering. The property sits just 50 metres from the popular Liverpool ONE complex. Furthermore, it is within a 10-minute walk of the Royal Albert Dock, The Beatles Story and the M&S Bank Arena. For more local dining nearby, see our Voyagers Liverpool restaurant review.

A Growing Liverpool Portfolio

This opening brings Sefton Collection’s total to six Liverpool properties, with a combined 292 bedrooms. Therefore, it strengthens the group’s position as the largest privately owned, independent and unbranded hotel collection in the north of England. In addition, the new hotel will create 10 local jobs, increasing the workforce to 160 employees.

Conor O’Donovan, CEO of Sefton Collection, said: “19 Duke Street represents an exciting addition to our growing Liverpool portfolio. We are proud to continue investing in the city’s hospitality sector, creating jobs and enhancing historic buildings to deliver high-quality guest experiences in prime city centre locations.”
