Spring in Your Step – Fashion Trends for Spring/Summer 2026

3 Min Read

With spring in your step, let’s talk designer shake-ups. Bottega Veneta and Chanel are calling it a day! 80s fashion is back and loud flower power prints are everywhere. Strong shoulders are back and colour-pop capri pants — once known as pedal pushers — are being teamed with wind funnel neck jackets in the coolest colours at Saint Laurent.

Saint Laurent 26 Collection

The Saint Laurent 26 collection is my favourite this year. The crisp cotton poplin blouse with its unmistakable Parisian edge is an icon outfit — featuring exaggerated shoulders, a low-cut front and a giant bow. The 26 biker jacket in a beautiful conker tone has balloon sleeves and fierce shoulder padding. Paired with a columned pencil skirt with an elegant edge, it’s a total knockout.

The retro shell windbreaker from Saint Laurent is clearly striking and offers a smoking legacy — the coolest thing on trend for spring/summer, offering versatile style.

Silk Scarves

Silk scarves have always been seen as a way to elevate outfits. Icons like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly wore them elegantly as headscarves, while modern celebrities like Rihanna let their scarves do the talking with graphic prints and a retro feel. Celine and Hermès are forever favourites.

Capri Pants

Famously known in the late 90s, capri pants have made a significant fashion comeback. Originally designed in 1940 by designer Sonja De Lennant, they’re considered an alternative to shorts, bridging the gap between summer and fall. My top tip? Pop on a heel thong-style dainty sandal and you’ll be hot to trot!

Pastel Palettes

Across runways — Coperni, Chloé, Blumarine — shades of mint, lilac, butter yellow, sugar pink and beige are sure to enlighten. Sunny days, refined tailoring and fabrics as fresh as a daisy.

My Top Picks

– Royalist — a classically bold purple and gold
– Silk draped scarf – Celine
– Classic knife boots – Balenciaga
– Classic knotted earrings – Bottega Veneta
– Bag – Bottega Veneta shade beetroot

Essentially effortlessly chic.
